Computer security is very important nowadays, both for home and business users, and particularly for computers which are connected to the internet. Viruses, malware and spyware infections can cause malicious damage to data and systems, and an increasing amount of fraud is also being perpetrated by online criminals. I will also be introducing a high quality virus, adware and spyware software that speed up my PC significantly.
All computer users should familiarize themselves with the basic steps which are taken to safeguard personal and financial information when online. Ensure that all computers are protected by up-to-date anti-virus and anti-malware software, preferably including an anti-spyware keylogger scanner.
It is important for all computer users, both at home and in their workplace, to understand the basic principles of computer security. Computer viruses, and other malicious programs such as malware and spyware, can infect computers, and can cause damage to data and operating systems.
The first viruses seem to have been created simply to give their authors some kind of perverse pleasure, but nowadays many infections are created or controlled by criminals. Criminals are known to control large networks (bot-nets) of infected computers. They sell access on these networks to other crooks, often for the purposes of distributing large quantities of e-mail spam.
Other criminals use virus and malware infections as a means to gain access to computer users’ personal and financial information. For example keyloggers can detect when a user is accessing an online banking site, and steal his username and password.
The username and password are then sold on to other criminals, who will use them to gain fraudulent access to the bank account. Those who use services such as online banking should be aware of the opportunities for fraud, and should regularly review the security advice provided on their bank’s website.
Users should not respond to e-mails or telephone calls claiming to be from their bank, and asking for account details. These are often fraudulent “phishing” attacks, aimed at gaining access to usernames and passwords. Also, when connecting to your online bank, ensure that you have a secure and encrypted connection: look for the little padlock logo on your web browser.
It is important to have up-to-date antivirus and anti-malware software installed on every machine. Virus and malware authors are continually creating new attacks, so ensure that your protection is configured to regularly download the latest updates for your anti-virus software. Keyloggers are programs that attempt to steal usernames and passwords, and your anti-malware and anti-spyware software should normally includes a keylogger scanner, which will detect and remove malicious programs of this type. I am glad that all the spyware, adware and Trojan viruses on my computer are all gone now all thanks high quality software which I downloaded.
